chris, i don't know about your school, but when i was a student back in neolithic times, the college arts center had an utterly fantastic woodworking shop which all students were able to use whether they were art majors or not. you may want to investigate if yours has something similar.

Perfect set up Chris. Having all the dusty power tools in one place and the quiet bench and hand tools in another is a great way to go. I know a luthier who milled enough wood for 5 years of building and sold all his power tools. I am getting ready to build a wall in my shop to separate my power tools from my bench, and I am really looking forward to it! Congrats. Looks great. I might try to get those dust collection hoses out of the 'tripping zone' though...

Nice shop Chris! I'm just putting the finishing touches to my first shop. Wish I had your room space. I've got everything in a 14 by 14 room and it is cramped but very workable for a one-man show.
